Fortnite is now available on a wide range of Android devices. After a brief period of exclusivity on Samsung's Galaxy line of phones and tablets, including the Galaxy Note 9, the Android beta is now open to many more users.
I'm confused as to how it'd be a Fortnite issue. Download speed is entirely your own internet. Sure you can download other things glfaster, but you internet can have its moments where it doesn't perform to its normal standards. Of course, Fortnite is already available for free on platforms like Windows, macOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. The game is free on Android as well, but you can't download it from the Google Play Store. Epic Games offers Fortnite for Android as a download on its website instead (here's why).
My Internet speed is 1-3 MB/s but, Fortnite is only giving me a max of. I cant utilize my full download speed. Log in or sign up in seconds.|. Im not complaining about download speed though. I downloaded the game this morning after it downloaded the game 'Installed' By downloading another 6ish GB and then it finally installed for reals which took another hour. Pulling your hair out watching the progress bar barely move every time you install a new Fortnite: Battle Royale update? Tricks that you can try out in order to speed up the process.
Don't worry if you have questions about how that works; we walk you through each step in the process below.
How to Access Fortnite's Android Beta
The Android beta was previously invite-only, but is now available to everyone using a compatible phone. The first step is to head over to Fortnite's Android Beta page and scan the QR code or navigate to fortnite.com/android on your Android device.
Epic Games has a rather lengthy list of compatible phones (below) on its website, but it says that even if your specific model is not listed, the game might work if your phone is running 64-bit Android 8.0+, has 3GB of RAM or more, and an Adreno 530 GPU or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
How to Download the Launcher and Install Fortnite
The Installer acts like any other browser download, except that it's a launchable program. When you try to launch the installer, your phone prompts you to give your browser permission to install apps. Most Android apps come from the Google Play Store, so this behavior is not allowed by default.
While enabling installs from the browser is simple, this setting opens your device up to potential web vulnerabilities. Make sure to only access the installer download via the link from Epic Games's email, and verify that the link redirects you to the official site and not some malicious lookalike page. In any case, we recommend downloading an Android antivirus app before giving your browser this access.
Once you download the Fortnite Installer, you need to install Fortnite itself. The download should only take a couple of minutes, but this depends on your network speed. Afterward, the game pulls down any outstanding updates and optimizes for your device.
You'll be asked to sign in, so progress will save across devices and you won't need to start all over with progression and character customization.
Start Playing
Fortnite on Android works just like every other version of the game. Your goal is to be the last player standing and eliminate any enemies in your way. Make sure to actually read the tutorial screens and familiarize yourself with the controls and mechanics in Fortnite's Playground mode before you jump into a competitive match.

Epic Games’ Fortnite game has been a hot topic the past year and their Battle Royale game mode was released September 26, 2017. It’s completely free to play and the Story mode also became free to play in 2018. However, Save the World mode was released as a paid-for early access but is expected to be full free-to-play this 2019.
The Battle Royale mode has been criticized by the creators of PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) because their game uses a game engine by Epic Games themselves, Unreal Engine.
The game is well optimized, but there are still many things you can do to increase the performance by huge margins. Here is our Fortnite optimization guide!
PC Settings
As we also mentioned in our PUBG optimization guide, you need to optimize your own PC a little first. If you have a laptop, then set the “Battery Mode” to “High Performance”. Also make sure you have the latest GPU drivers and you have updated your Windows to the latest version.
Do you have a GPU from NVIDIA? Then follow the guide below.
Also make sure that you disable mouse acceleration if you want to improve your muscle memory and your aiming skills in general.
Disable Windows Update Delivery Optimization
Now it’s time to disable Windows Update Delivery Optimization. Here are the steps:
Disable OneDrive
You should disable OneDrive if you’re not using it. Right-click on the OneDrive icon on your taskbar and click on Exit.
Optimizing Game Settings
Optimizing Discord
If you happen to use Discord, then ensure that you optimize it as well to boost your FPS in all games while Discord is running.
How To Download Fortnite FasterOptimizing Google Chrome
You can also turn off hardware acceleration in Google Chrome so that background applications executed by Chrome do not consume too many resources when you’re playing.
Clean Your Temporary Files
You can also use CCleaner – the free version will do the trick.
After you’re finished optimizing your PC and Fortnite, make sure to restart your PC.
